During the Battle of the Bulge Company C of the 517th Parachute Infantry Regiment was sent by trucks (poor weather prevented airlift), to town of Stavelot, Belgium. From there they advanced in the town of Coules, and on to Logbiermé. The unit then came under heavy snipers fire. It was during this battle that five men lost their lives on January 14th 1945. From there they advanced in the town of Coules, and on to Logbiermé. The unit then came under heavy snipers fire. It was during this battle that five men lost their lives on January 14th 1945.
