Plus d'infos/Meer info: Albert WARLOW was born at Talbenny, Pembrokeshire, UK, the son of John and Mary WARLOW. The family later moved to Chepstow, Monmouth. He enlisted at Merthyr Tydfil into the Royal Engineers (Service Number: 19902), and served with the 56th Field Company, attached to the 3rd Division. One of the first Divisions to move to France, they remained on the Western front throughout the war, and fought during the opening Battle of Mons, and in the epic retreat, from the Rearguard Action of Solemes, through the Battle of Le Cateau, and down to the Marne, where the German offensive was stopped. Albert died 25th november 1914 of wounds recevied 28th August 1914. Originally buried in Maisieres, HT, BE, Communal Cemetery.
