Albert was Assistant Bazooka in 1st Platoon, I Co. 330th Infantry Regiment - 83rd Infantry Division. He was killed by a German sniper on January 6 1945 in Fraiture, Luxembourg province, Belgium. Somewhere in France he and the Bazooka man Art JACOBSON were personally awarded the Bronze Star by General MACON of the 83rd Infantry Division. Other award: Purple Heart. His grave is at Henri-Chapelle (Plombières), LG, BE, American cemetery, Plot E, row 7, grave 50 (Source [183])
